Home Electrical Upgrade

Our team provided a complete electrical upgrade for this home, enhancing both functionality and safety. The project included installing four 6-inch recessed motion light fixtures for improved lighting efficiency, remodeling an existing receptacle to power a wall-mounted fireplace TV, and adding conduit to neatly route low-voltage wiring from below the window to above the fireplace along an exterior wall. We also inspected and resolved issues with a sparking main-floor dryer receptacle, ensuring all electrical systems operated safely and up to code.

Our electricians diagnosed and repaired issues with the East Patio exterior lighting circuit, which was tripping its breaker. During the same visit, we inspected two West Living Room half-hot wall receptacles that stopped functioning properly after new wiring was added for a gas fireplace during a previous remodel. These outlets were originally controlled by two existing three-way switches, and our team worked to restore their intended operation and ensure the circuit was safely configured.

This circuit powered three connected light fixtures located throughout the crawl space, which measured approximately 12 feet by 15 feet with a height ranging from 5.5 to 6 feet beneath the kitchen floor joists. The homeowner requested installation of a temperature-regulated heater in the crawl space, mounted on the existing 2×4 framing and powered from the same circuit that had been experiencing the outage.

The homeowner requested installation of a 240V/50A circuit in a detached garage with a NEMA 14-50 outlet. The new circuit was designed to originate from the existing 125A-rated garage subpanel, which was currently fed by a 50A service line supporting two 120V/15A circuits. The main electrical panel in the home did not have any dedicated breakers or circuits feeding the garage. The outlet location was approximately five feet from the garage panel, requiring only a short cable run for installation.
